We conducted a series of interviews to discover how and where people usually look for gifts, what is the process of choosing and buying and how this process is making them feel.
We found out that quite often the search for the perfect gift involves some amount of stress, moreover if this is a last-minute purchase, which is the situation that all of the respondents faced at least once in their lives. We also found out most people face problems finding a gift that matches their friends' or families' interests.
Finding a perfect gift for a friend may be a challenging endeavour, furthermore, the challenge multiplies with the fact that our social circle includes family, colleagues and loved ones and each person has their own list of special events.
We used all this as an opportunity to offer a product that meets people's needs. A product that is not only practical but also brings people's hearts closer.

The idea for our logo came from the gift box and the "8" digit, which represents the number of members in our team and (magically?) turns to an "infinity" symbol when rotated. Combined together we get a gift box with a bow, that at the same time symbolizes endless gift ideas inside.
The color scheme I've chosen for the 8 Wishes app includes a muted violet as the primary color, a bright green-blue as the secondary color, and a playful strawberry pink as the accent color. Violet represents imagination and creativity. The green-blue shade promotes relaxation and harmony, while the pink adds excitement and passion, making the gift search process enjoyable and fun.
The first one is Raleway, which is a display face that's well-suited for headers and subheaders. Its clean lines and modern feel make it a great choice for emphasizing important information. The second typeface we chose is Oxygen, which is a more neutral and humanist font. Its readability and simplicity make it an ideal option for body text and interaction elements throughout the app.
